Schoolhouse Animal Hospital is Closing!

Dr. Sporn is Retiring!

On or about March 15, 2025, Schoolhouse Animal Hospital will close and will no longer be seeing clients and patients.  I have been working at Schoolhouse Animal Hospital for over 40 wonderful and enjoyable years.  It has been my sincere pleasure to have been of service to all who came to the office with their pets over the years.  I will miss being here.

Many have asked where they should take their pets after March, and I cannot give a hard and fast answer. Your veterinarian should be someone with whom you will get along with and trust to give your pets the best care.  This will vary from person to person.  Instead, I am giving you a short list of smaller practices that I believe will be similar to Schoolhouse Animal Hospital than the very large practices.  This list is not complete, but gives you a place to start.  The practices to consider are: Willingboro Animal Clinic; Cinnaminson Animal Hospital; Peticote Veterinary Clinic in Lumberton; Mansfield Veterinary Clinic; Tabernacle Animal Hospital; Exclusively Cats Medical Center in Medford; and Old York Veterinary Hospital, Florence Twp.

 I will be happy to send records to any practice you would like. You can call the office phone number and leave a message, or preferably, send an email to schoolhousevets@gmail.com. I will need a Fax number and/or an email address of where you would like the records sent. Please note that after one year, the records will no longer be available

Again, it has been my pleasure to serve you and your pets.  I will miss you all.

For those pets getting refills on their prescriptions from local pharmacies and online pharmacies, I will continue to authorize those refills until I am no longer allowed to by law based on your pet’s last examination. (An annual exam is required by law) At that time you will need to have a new exam done at the practice of your choice.

If you have been using our online pharmacy or would like to, click on the Home Delivery link.  Again, prescripition medication will be authorized for up one year from you pet's last examination.  Only medications that you pet has had previously will be authorized.  No new prescriptions that would require an examination.
